The Why We Worship series is a thoughtful selection of new and old Vineyard songs with each recording centering around a specific topic of worship. This stirring series was created as a companion to Vineyard’s popular Why We Worship seminars.

“Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

For several years, Vineyard Music Group has been leading Why We Worship seminars throughout the USA and around the world. The purpose? To bring people into true worship and a deeper understanding of the Father.

God our Father desires, longs, and waits for us to worship. He created us to worship and desires to be the object of our affection. Thus we call Him, Abba Father. Our Heavenly Father is the deserving recipient of our worship. Worship is meant to bless the Lord, but it can also teach us about the many wonderful attributes of our Father.

God’s ultimate intention was to have a family. We are His glorious inheritance. (Ephesians 1:18, 3:15)
The Father is compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love and forgiveness. (Exodus 34:6-7)
The Father is protective. (Deuteronomy 7:15)
The Father desires to bless us. (Deuteronomy 8:7-9, 16-18)
The Father shows us mercy. (Leviticus 26:44)
The Father and Jesus are alike. (Phi 2:6, John 14:7-10, and Colossians 1:15)
The Father never changes. (Psalm 102:27, 103:17, Hebrews 13:8)
