Who are these guys?

NCMI is a translocal, apostolic/prophetic team of people with proven ministries to the local church and the wider Body of Christ. Autonomous local churches internationally relate to this team and to each other, building strong local churches with a vision to fulfill the Great Commission by discipling the nations.

There are a number of praise and worship albums on this site published by churches relating to New Covenant Ministiries International. As an explanation of who these folks are, we provide extracts from a pamphlet they published. Their expression of “passionate praise” is as helpful to the wider Body of Christ as the Vineyard’s expression of “intimate worship”.

Vision

The vision is essentially twofold. Firstly, to see strong and healthy eldership governed local churches established and nurtured, where the priesthood of believers is released into ministry and maturity, as well as releasing elders as skillful shepherds, ministering with integrity of heart.

Secondly, to facilitate the vision and command of Jesus to disciple the nations of the world, by providing and encouraging leadership and church planting training in various forms; foundational ministry to pastors and churches; and creating practical opportunities throughout the world to participate in short or long term church planting projects.

Values

The foundational value is that not only is the Bible held to be thew inspired and authoritative word of God, but also the accepted standard for life, ministry and conduct in the church. This has practical implications in terms of the way in which relating pastors are accountable to one another (in addition to their own respective churches) and direct their lives bot individually and corporately, in order to see God’s truth established in their own lives and also in the earth.

The apostolic prophetic team, relating pastors and leaders recognize and respect the Biblical authority of each local church eldership. Ministry into the local church takes place only by invitation, on the basis of friendship and as mutual giftings in God are recognized and accepted.

Statement of Faith

New Covenant Ministries believes in:

The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments in their original writings as fully inspired by God, and accepts them as the final authority for faith and life.
In one God eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
That the Lord Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is true God and true Man.
That God created man in His own image: that man sinned and thereby incurred the penalty of death, physical and spiritual; and that all human beings inherit a sinful nature, which isues in actual transgressions involving personal guilt.
That the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, a substitutionary sacrifice, according to the Scriptures, and that all who believe and trust in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood.
In the bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, His ascension into heaven, and His present life as our High Priest and Advocate.
In the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In the personality of the Holy Spirit, His regenerating work, and His abiding presence in the true believer.
All who repent of their sins and receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.
That all Christians are called to a life of holiness, devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ and service to Him.
In the resurrection bot of the just and the unjust, the eternal blessedness of the redeemed, and the eternal banishment from God of those who have rejected the offer of salvation.
That the whole company of those who have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour, been redeemed by Him and regenerated by the Holy Spirit, form the one true Church, and that the local church on earth should take its character from this concept. Therefore the new birth and personal confession of faith in Christ are essentials of church membership.
That the Holy Spirit indwells all true believers and that He has been sent to be the Comforter and Empowerer of the Christian Church, to produce the fruit of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit according to the Scriptures.
In the priesthood of all believers.
That the Lord Jesus Christ appointed two ordinances — Baptism and the Lord’s Table — to be observed as acts of obedience and as a perpetual witness to the cardinal facts of the Christian faith; that Baptism is the immersion of the believer in water as a confession of identification with Christ in burial and resurrection, and that the Lord’s Table involves partaking of the bread and the cup as symbols of the Saviour’s broken body and shed blood, in remembrance of His sacrificial death till His return.
That the healing of the sick is still available in our day. (Mark 16:16-18; Matthew 8:16-17; 1 Corinthians 12:9; James 5:14-15)
That God never removed the gifts of the Holy Spirit from the Church, and that the Scriptural commands to “seek earnestly the best gifts”, and to “forbid not to speak in tongues”, are still applicable today. (1 Corinthians chapters 12, 13 and 14. Note 1 Corinthians 14:1 and 14:39)
That the ascended Christ has given various ministries or ministers to the Church in order to bring all believers to the place of Christian maturity in understanding of truth, and the performance and function of the ministry. (Ephesians 4:11; Romans 12:4-8 and 1 Corinthians 12:10ff)
That the miracles as recorded in the Bible were real miracles, and are possible in the present day. (John 14:12; 1 Corinthians 12:10)
