Day 1 of the Why We Worship conference in Johannesburg, South Africa

Some of the technical team stayed up all night to get the sound set up, so they were looking a little jaded by the time the delegates started arriving and registering. Brent Helming led the first set, which lasted just over an hour, and really got everyone into worship mode. The worship team is quite large, and has members from several different Vineyards around the country, but they played together extremely well.
After lunch we really got into the local flavour, with worship being led by Silulama Slu Maphongwane, who decided to add some colour (his words) to the worship, with songs in African languages as well. The English portion of Culani/Sing/Binang goes:
The evening set was led by Rita Springer and Slu, and we did the Culani/Sing/Binang song again, with even more enthusiasm, ululation, and clapping. Slus spontaneous prayers and praises led us into You, the song Rita co-wrote with Craig Musseau:
